Ronald Turner Jackson

Ronald Turner Jackson, Sr. Passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026 in the company of his wife of over 70 years, Faith Carrow Jackson. Ronald was the son of Lacy Turner Jackson and Mabyan Walls Jackson. Born in Nashville, Tennessee he spent most of his early years in Fosterville, Tennessee until moving back to Nashville at the age of fourteen. Ronald would go on to join the U.S. Army during the Korean War and proudly wore his veterans hat his entire life. After finishing his military service October 12, 1955, he would marry the love of his life, Faith, on October 29, 1955. Faith was a Yankee by birth (Lowell, Massachusetts) but quickly became a Southerner once married. Ronald would graduate from Vanderbilt University with a business degree in January, 1959. During this time Ronald and Faith would start a family with the birth of Ronald Turner Jackson, Jr. (August 24, 1956), Kenneth Grant Jackson (December 6, 1957) and David Lee Jackson (October 24, 1960). To say these were busy times is a great understatement. After graduation, Ronald would join Westinghouse, a career that lasted 32 years. He would go on to become the Vice President of Finance at Westinghouse Credit Corporation. The family moved between the suburbs of Atlanta (Tucker) and Pittsburgh several times during Ronald’s career. Ronald and Faith moved back to Middle Tennessee after their retirement and settled on Lake Normandy. Ronald was an avid Trap shooter during his life with over 100,000 Federal Registered targets to his credit. He loved shooting and he and Faith would travel the country while doing so. He was also proud to be a Mason, one of the few things his father asked him to do. They loved their boys and were always present at anything they did (which at times meant three baseball games on a Saturday). Ronald and Faith are both members of the Fosterville Church of Christ. Ronald is survived by his wife Faith, his son Ken, five grandchildren (Kate, Caroline, Grant, Ginny and David Lee) and seven great grandchildren and many other cousins. A service to remember Ronald is scheduled for Wednesday, July 8th at Fosterville Church of Christ beginning with visitation at 10:00am, service at 10:45 and graveside for family following. The family would like to say thank you to the kind caregivers at Carriage House Inn for their loving care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, a contribution in remembrance of Ronald can be made to the Fosterville Church of Christ. Feldhaus-Gowen-Smith Chapel is honored to be serving The Family of Ronald Turner Jackson.
